Vintage Japanese Kiyomizu-yaki Bamboo Pattern Yunomi Tea Cup – Kyoto Ceramic Cup
Available in stock
Description
Description
This vintage Japanese tea cup is a traditional Kiyomizu-yaki / Kyo-yaki ceramic cup from Kyoto. The original gold label reads 清水焼, indicating Kiyomizu-yaki, one of Kyoto’s well-known traditional ceramic styles.
The cup features a warm beige glazed surface with natural speckling and horizontal ridged texture. Around the body, there is a hand-painted bamboo motif in deep brown and muted green tones.
Its simple cylindrical shape makes it suitable for everyday Japanese tea such as sencha, hojicha, or genmaicha. The rustic glaze, visible brushwork, and natural ceramic texture give the piece a calm wabi-sabi character, making it both practical tableware and a decorative vintage item.
This cup is recommended for collectors of Japanese ceramics, Kyoto pottery, Kiyomizu-yaki, vintage yunomi cups, and traditional Japanese tea ware.
