The Wpc. Hydrangea Umbrella Mini is a beautifully designed folding rain umbrella inspired by hydrangeas blooming during Japan's rainy season.

Hydrangeas are one of the most recognizable flowers of early summer in Japan, appearing in soft clusters of color as the rainy season begins. Wpc. captures this seasonal atmosphere through a transparent folding umbrella decorated with delicate hydrangea motifs and subtle gradation printing.

Rather than using a simple flat floral print, the design emphasizes the layered and translucent appearance of hydrangea blossoms. The softly colored flowers spread across the clear polyurethane canopy, allowing light to pass through while maintaining the watercolor-like depth and softness of the floral design.

The combination of transparent material and gentle floral coloring creates a light, refreshing appearance that works especially well on cloudy and rainy days.

A clean white piping detail runs around the edge of the canopy, helping define the umbrella's silhouette while complementing the soft hydrangea design.

The umbrella uses a three-section folding frame, allowing the 54 cm rib structure to fold down into a compact size for everyday carrying.

When opened, the umbrella has an approximate diameter of 95 cm, providing practical coverage for commuting, shopping, school, travel and everyday rainy weather.

The open umbrella measures approximately 53 cm in total length, offering a comfortable balance between coverage and portability.

One of the distinctive features of the Hydrangea Umbrella Mini is its wide clutch-style storage case.

Instead of a narrow conventional umbrella sleeve, the case has a wider opening that makes the folded umbrella easier to insert and remove. This is especially practical after use, when the umbrella may not be perfectly rolled.

The storage case features a soft hydrangea-inspired design that coordinates with the umbrella and gives the accessory a more decorative appearance.

The case measures approximately 27 × 19 cm when opened and can be folded into a more compact form of approximately 27 × 10 cm.

A snap button helps secure the folded case, making it easier to carry together with the umbrella.

The umbrella features Wpc.'s easy-open manual mechanism. The frame is designed to open and close smoothly without requiring each rib to be individually folded into position.

This makes the umbrella more convenient for frequent everyday use while maintaining the simplicity of a manual-opening structure.

Part of the umbrella frame uses fiberglass, a lightweight and flexible material that helps improve resistance to breakage.

Wpc. develops its transparent umbrellas with repeated use in mind, combining decorative designs with stronger frame components rather than treating vinyl umbrellas as disposable rain accessories. 

The canopy is made from polyurethane, giving the umbrella its transparent appearance while allowing the floral print to remain vivid and visible.
