VINTAGE - Japanese White Kaga Hachiman Okiagari Doll with Bell

This vintage Japanese folk doll is a Kaga Hachiman Okiagari (加賀八幡起上り), a traditional good-luck doll.

This example contains an internal bell or rattle that produces a sound when the doll is moved. It comes with a red fabric display cushion decorated with small gold-toned details.

Material: Appears to be made primarily from papier-mâché/ molded paper or clay with painted and coated decoration.

Dimensions: Height: approximately 17 cm; width: approximately 14 cm.

Condition: Vintage, good condition. The doll has some visible scratches, scuffs, stains, dirt marks, discoloration, and areas of surface wear. Some of the painted decoration are smudged. Additional minor imperfections may be present. The included cushion also shows signs of age, marks, loose threads, dust, and wear.
