VINTAGE - Japanese Shamisen-Shaped Music Box with Stand and Original Box

This vintage Japanese decorative music box is designed in the form of a miniature shamisen, one of Japan’s best-known traditional string instruments.

The ornament features a long dark brown neck with three decorative strings, a white body, red and gold textile accents, and three pale tuning pegs. 

Material: Appears to be made from wood or wood-based material, and plastic stand.

Dimensions: Height: approximately 45 cm; width: approximately 10 cm.

Condition: Vintage, very good condition. The shamisen ornament, stand, and original box may show scratches, marks, dust, discoloration, rubbing, deformation, and other signs of age and storage.

Music Box 

The mechanical music-box mechanism has been tested and is currently working. Due to the age and vintage nature of the item, the accuracy, sound quality, playing duration, and continued long-term operation cannot be guaranteed.
