VINTAGE - Japanese Kaga Hachiman Okiagari Doll with Bell

This vintage Japanese folk doll is Kaga Hachiman Okiagari (加賀八幡起上り), a traditional good-luck doll.

This example contains an internal bell or rattle that produces a sound when the doll is moved. It comes with a red fabric display cushion decorated with small gold-toned details.

Material: Appears to be made primarily from papier-mâché or molded paper with painted and coated decoration. A textile display cushion is included.

Dimensions: Height: approximately 17 cm; width: approximately 14 cm.

Condition: Vintage, good condition. The doll has some visible scratches, scuffs, marks, and areas of surface wear. The red paint and decorative coating are chipping in several places. The included cushion also shows signs of age, loose threads, dust, marks, and wear.
