The Pentel Multi 8 Series is a long-running Japanese multi-lead writing system designed to carry several different colors and writing functions inside a single compact pen-style holder.

Instead of carrying a full set of colored pencils, pencils, highlighters or pens separately, the Multi 8 system allows users to select between multiple built-in leads simply by rotating the selector and extending the desired lead.

The compact format makes the series especially convenient for drawing, sketching, color coding, studying, planning, journaling, note-taking and organizing information while traveling or working away from a desk.

Each holder stores eight different leads internally, allowing multiple colors or writing types to remain ready for use inside one portable body.

The lead-selection mechanism is designed for quick switching between colors. Rotate the selector until the indicator aligns with the desired color or writing function, then operate the holder to extend the selected lead.

The 2.0 mm lead format used for the colored and graphite leads provides a broader, pencil-like writing and drawing experience compared with ordinary fine mechanical pencil leads. The leads can also be sharpened with the included sharpener when a finer point is required for detailed drawing, lettering or precise marking.

Art Multi 8 Refill Set Included

The Art Multi 8 is designed especially for sketching, illustration and creative work.

Its transparent body allows the colored leads stored inside the holder to remain visible, making it easy to identify the available colors at a glance. Off-white components around the clip and top of the pen create a neutral appearance that does not visually interfere with artwork or color selection.

Eight 2.0 mm colored leads are installed in the holder:
