Elegant vintage Japanese porcelain bowl set presented in a traditional lacquer-style wooden gift box. The bowls feature a refined blue-and-white sometsuke decoration with classic karakusa scrolling vine patterns painted around the rim, while one visible bowl displays a richly colored floral interior motif inspired by traditional Imari aesthetics in red, blue, green, and orange overglaze enamels.
The set combines two iconic Japanese porcelain traditions originating from Arita, one of Japan’s most historically important ceramic regions. The outer blue-and-white decoration reflects the influence of traditional Edo-period sometsuke porcelain, characterized by hand-painted cobalt designs under a transparent glaze. The colorful floral interiors reference Ko-Imari-inspired decorative styles that became internationally admired for their vibrant enamel work and elegant ornamental balance.
The underside kiln mark appears to be an artisan or workshop seal associated with Arita ware production, while the gold label and presentation style suggest this was produced as formal Japanese hospitality tableware or seasonal giftware during the late Showa to early Heisei era.
